Q. What do I need to book you for our wedding?
$1,000 retainer which goes toward your final balance and a signed contract will secure your date. All bookings are on a first come, first served basis.

Q. How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?
Philip is available anywhere in the world. Call 210-833-1168.

Q. What camera gear do you use?
Philip's tools of use are the Leica Rangefinder M9 for discreet and unobtrusive work along with his Nikon D3. Lenses used are a fast Leica 35mm f1.4 Summilux and Nikon lenses.

Q. How many images do you shoot?
It varies with every wedding that Philip shoots so there is no set answer. However, Philip is not a 'machine gunner' hoping to get lucky shots. He thinks, anticipate and react to moments ensuring great images every time. Philip's philosophy is the old adage 'less is more'.

Q. Do we get a choice of Black and White or color?
Philip shoots everything digitally using state of the art technology. Brides trust Philip to choose according to his artistic interpretation, often at the point of capturing the image. It's a blend of color and black and white and great care is taken over the final prints.

Q. What albums do you use?
Italian made GraphiStudio and Queensberry albums from New Zealand.

Q. When must I choose the album design?
Aim to have your final approval within 60 days of the release date as the whole process can otherwise get delayed with other clients weddings. This way Philip can give you the full attention you deserve.

Q. How long will it take to receive my album?
Delivery will depend on how long you take to order. Philip personally custom designs the album layouts. All albums designs and on-line proofing are available for sixty days once they have been released to you. You're allowed up to three free design changes. Generally, it can take up to eight weeks once the design is approved by you. However, your design will be one of a kind and well worth the wait.

Q. How do we know it will be you who shoots our wedding?
Philip Thomas personally shoot all of his weddings and most of the time with a second experienced shooter. No outsourcing here.

Q. What about engagement or bridal sessions?
Most include a bridal or engagement session. Top packages include both. It's a great way to get to know you both and vice versa. This way, you can relax on your wedding day knowing that Philip will get great images. If you don't want a bridal or engagement shoot, that's fine too.

Q. Do you employ second shooters on the day?
An assistant is included in most of Philip's packages.
Q. Do you have liability insurance?
Yes.

Q. Do you carry back up equipment?
Yes.

Q. What about formals? I've heard you photo journalistic types don't like taking formals :-)Philip likes to take formals. These straight forward photos are in integral part of your day. However, Philip's aim is to keep the formals to a short list. He wants you to go ahead and have a good time at the reception so he can continue to get amazing shots of the two of you. Keep in mind why you're hiring a documentary photographer. If, two to three hours of formal shots is what you have in mind, then it's quite possible he may not be the right choice for you.
