ABOUT PHILIP THOMAS
Photography has been Philip's passion for over twenty five years, twenty of those years he's been a professional photographer. "I'm not sure how I really fell into photography. I know I was very young. It might have been when I was tinkering around with my dad's old Polaroid instamatic...all those buttons and instant prints. Then I bought an old Yahsica and Contax 35mm camera and took tons of railway track pictures. A bit nerdy, but yes, I was hooked." laughs Philip.
A native of England, Philip grew up in the small English city of Chichester in Sussex. His first 'project' was Fishbourne Roman Palace and then the ship, HMS The Mary Rose. He spent considerable time in his early 20's shooting press stories and using up abnormal amounts of black and white photographic paper, much to the dismay of his newspaper editor.It was during his travels in 2002 that he met his wife, Marcie whilst working together on Royal Caribbean. Philip made the move from the UK to San Antonio, Texas in 2006 and now have two beautiful little girls, Lily and Emma.
Since that time, Philip Thomas has won numerous international awards for his wedding photography from WPJA and ISPWP here in the States to SWPP in the UK. Philip loves to run, travel, cook, a mac computer geek and, yes, just shoot pictures for fun.
